Coinbase salaries in Canada (SWE)
Was there any bump recently in the offers Coinbase gives out for IC5 and IC6? I hear much higher TC than was was given to me by recruiters. I was told that all the offers for a given level are the same, no negotiation and performance after joining determines TC going forward. IC5: 285k (USD) IC6: 340k (USD) #coinbase #swe

It’s not due to CoL, it’s just market rate for the area. In a high market rate US area an IC6 offer is about $672k. In a medium market rate US area it’s about $630k. The difference per location is only on base (and in turn bonus). It does affect stock (at least not for those 2). This is without a performance multiplier. Since it’s all market rate related I have no doubt that it’s very different in other countries.
Coinbase is location dependent. They’ll pay higher for HCOL areas.
Not cost of living related. I live in a higher cost of living area than Seattle.
