Seems more crash is awaiting at crypto market https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2023/02/09/coinbase-shares-fall-as-sec-takes-crypto-staking-action-against-kraken.html
It's literally a security and should either have a prospectus and comply with SEC regulation or else be offered only to accredited investors (high net worth). I don't see how Coinbase avoids being FINRA registered and requiring all its customer facing people to be Series 7 certified with proper prospectuses and audited financial reporting for the financial products it sells Too many crypto frauds have ripped off the public with various scams for anyone to claim there isn't the same need for transparency and fiduciary duty with crypto investments as with any other. The whole reason the SEC exists is in the early days of the traditional stock market all the same kinds of scams and frauds were perpetrated on the public with stocks and bonds as we're seeing with crypto today.
Better late than never. The few last remaining retail traders will be out of this Ponzi now. The whales can then scam each other. I wish SEC cracked down on this crap before Celsius, Voyager, FTX, Genesis, etc. happened, ripping off billions of dollars from those that can least afford to get scammed.
I agree. It was funny seeing crypto peeps lose it all but a lot were simply dummies who got scammed or taken in. The crackdown is way overdue.
SEC is finally catching up to this unfortunately
It's OK you will still be able to pay US exchanges 25%-35% in fees to stake your coins if you are an accredited investor😝 Poors don't deserve a chance at generational wealth
But the poor's deserve to be ripped off by one fraud after another just because "crypto"? How many billions have the poors been defrauded of at this point by the zillion high profile scams? It's not like crypto has a clean rap sheet. It's dirty AF
