I have a close friend who was early into many successful startups including Coinbase and Clubhouse, he told me that the stock is so cheap (when it was at 400 yesterday) and that the company makes so much money (in revenue) and that the growth is very fast. She advised me to buy and I did buy at $330. I think they project the company to reach $1T in a few years
That's not much to go on. 1T for an exchange business? In what reality lol we can talk if they expand into something else. Competition will come. Going to be hard to justify the 1.5% per trade. Also how will the company fare once this cycle is over? If you want exposure to crypto, buy crypto. Won't have to deal with company risk.
My friend brought Paypal as an example which is already $300B and not growing as much. Coinbase had $1.1B revenue for all of 2020, and $1.8B in the last quarter (6-7x yoy growth). Given how successful she is and the number of startups she sold (~7 in 10 years) I do trust her
