Coinbase (remote to Mpls): $118K base + $50K stock / 1 year + $6K bonus Amazon (Mpls office): $129K + $60K sign on / 2 years + $95K stock / 4 years Coinbase TC is slightly higher than Amazon. Both are great relative to cost of living. Which offer is better (and why in comments please)? #amzn #coinbase #newgrad
I heard coinbase has pip as well
Take company with better team/manager
Amazon new grad offers do not let you speak with manager beforehand xd, you're placed randomly.
Worked at both. I’ll say take Amazon. It’ll teach you a lot about scaling and software quality. Bring those learnings to Coinbase/your next company.
Worse than Amazon so far, but I’m liking it. Could be because I’m new as well so I’m still learning on the systems, meeting new people, and taking training. I’m learning 5 new languages, 4 repos, 2 projects, 1 bug at once. Going on call on my 8th week
received most faangmula offers and went coinbase. Don’t regret it but its not for everyone. If you have an interest in crypto cb over to g/f. Other crypto startups might be better although. But coinbase vs amazon is coinbase hands down imo (having interned at amazon prior). Feel free to dm
Agree with the not for everyone part. I was ready to grind
I'm ready to grind and have an interest in crypto. The chance Coinbase absolutely pops off in the market is higher than Zon too, I suppose
How did you negotiate a bonus
It's a "target cash bonus" or something so it's not guaranteed, and also I didn't negotiate it. My recruiter said 5% of base as target bonus which in my case was $118K.
How’s wlb at both
