Coinbase vs crypto.com

New to this and would like to gauge what people on blind prefer overall. Crypto.com fees seem to be lower than Coinbase but they recently had a hack?? Open to other suggestions too but since I am a newbie would rather stick to either of the above two

I didn't get that he wanted to keep it in the exchange from the post.

I wonder how legitimate these two platforms are when it comes to online shopping via Crypto? Can the payee (merchant) see my (payer’s) information like my name etc.?

Yes, the merchant can also see your wallet balance and every other transaction you've made. If you want anonymity, use a privacy coin like Monero (XMR.)

Dang I just want some easy way shopping like PayPal while keeping my crypto there too (not keeping money in PayPal regularly)

Neither. Revolut is great

I prefer Kraken, they're less of a pain than either coinbase or crypto.com

I usually use coinbase pro and then periodically send to a wallet to get it off the cex

Even if higher fees when buying/selling? What wallet do you use/ would you recommend?

Does Coinbase have an advantage over crypto.com? What I see (from a beginners point of view) is more fees and less coins right?

BlackRock parattai Jan 23, 2022

Crypto.com fees are lower but spread is horrible. If spread is 1% and fee is 0.2% then what’s the use of low fees ?

Coinbase pro with limit orders will get you smaller fees. Don't use the normal coinbase app.

If you’re willing to stake 4K, the debit card rewards (free Netflix, Spotify, Lounge access, 12% USDC APR, and 3% cashback on purchases) at crypto.com are pretty great!

BlackRock parattai Jan 23, 2022

Coinbase card offers 4% cash back without staking, if you invest that $4k in anchor protocol -yearly APY is about 20%, $4k returns $800/year + 1% extra cash back (for example ,$10k purchase returns additional $100 cash back). No point to stake $4k worth tokens for 3% cash back.

From what I understand there’s a 2.49 percent fee per transaction right? For the Coinbase card
