Comcast recruiter almost ghosted me

After my HM and team interview, my recruiter followed up with me next day if I have any other offer, she mentioned she received positive feedback from the team and connected me to Comcast Immigration team as well. Now Its been two weeks, nothing has moved and when I follow up with her, she says she will let me know when she has more info. WTF!

I guess too much bureaucracy in these big companies. Citibank is another company where it is very slow to get approval on budget and immigration.

I can wait if they give at least clear answers. this is just confusing if I got in or not

I guess you are in,else she would have cleared the air with a 'NO'. Approval and budget clearance takes time in these traditional companies.

That’s not ghosting. She responded to you several times.

Almost ghosting is not ghosting... Be patient

That's Comcast for you...I had to wait 2 months after getting verbal confirmation for H1-B transfer... HR and Immigration teams are terrible and moreover you will have to pay for visa processing if you decide to do premium.

Cerner xtyfdrx Jul 16, 2021

Yes I got verbal confirmation as well and they won't be paying for H1-B premium fee. I was just wondering how can Comcast assume that the candidate will be available for next 2 months, did you follow up on weekly basis with you recruiter then? On the workday, job status says my application is being reviewed for further consideration. Also, do comcast pull offer as well or its just time taking and eventually they will be sending offer

Comcast tKbI42 Jul 16, 2021

Comcast just assumes candidates will wait ...this is one of the reasons we are not able to get good candidates join our team ... interview process is way too long and Immigration is slow ...GC process is even slower ... Just keep following up with HR or hiring manager ... I have not heard about pulling offer back

Comcast is extremely slow with stuff. But you should not keep hope and move on. Happens all the time when you are interviewing and could go either way. It’s terrible but a reality.

What I came to know from my recruiter that after interview response was very positive from the HM then she went on vacation and hasn't responded. She asked me to send her an email about status update so she can forward that to HM. Not sure wtf going on
