I have recently started reading research papers / white papers (C-Store, MillWheel, etc.). I am able to grasp high-level architectures but struggle to understand key ideas sometimes (e.g. in C-store paper "implementation of snapshot isolation - why low watermarks?"). Is there a community (e.g. slack) where I can reach out to for help? Tried Googling & Stack-overflow. TC: £170k, YOE: 8.5
