Do we have anyone commuting from San Jose to Mountain view for work? How bad is the traffic? Is 85 like 101 heavy traffic or like 87 moving traffic? Tc 200k
It will be miserable. I did Campbell to MTV via 85 and it was terrible both ways. It was even worse after 17 the deeper south you went.
It’s good if you leave at 11am and get back after 7pm My commute is usually 15-20 minutes if I do that
It’s pretty bad, I’d say around an hour each way. Especially with schools in session now/soon it’ll probably be at its worst. Would lot recommend.
What if I go 7:00am and come back 3:00pm?
I’m not super familiar with those exact times, but often even when I left at pretty off hours (like drive back at 7) it would still be pretty bad, around 40 minutes.
Ride a motorcycle and you will always be on time.
A lot better if you take Caltrain, lightrail or vanpool.
I did the 85 commute from San Jose to Palo Alto for a bit. It’s a slow commute and having a carpool lane sticker car doesn’t help much either. 85 desperately needs another lane, and it doesn’t seem like city planners are even thinking about how bad it is already. I took Caltrain during some of that time and loved it; very predictable and quick commute especially if you get on to the baby bullet. Plus you get time to read on the train.
What does TC have anything to do with it? Anyways r u planning on taking public transport or drive or ur company has bus/shuttle?
Tc does not have anything to do with this, but there are some people on blind who push writing TC on every single thread. I dont like that either. No shuttle, driving a car myself and it is not electric car.
BYTON you a moron?
