Going to move to Apple soon. Does Apple have buses in Seattle? Thinking about moving away from Seattle if commute won't be a big issue. #apple #seattle #msft
Before COVID the office was a few stories of one of the downtown towers. The main building has been in construction since then, I guess it's almost ready. But I doubt they'll have a shuttle to the Eastside. They have some commute discounts (like free Orca card, etc.), which were supposed to match the commute perks of Cupertino, but I don't know the latest status since COVID.
@yrb6 What's the current WFH status at Apple? When have they said to tentatively open offices?
There's no date right now (for swe). We're WFH since Feb. and no one is going to the office until at least April, which is very likely to be pushed out again.
Yes I meant after covid. Apple got a new building at Dexter which has decent sized office space.
Ya the rumor is post Covid most AIML employees will go back directly to the new building. Not sure about other orgs. Also, there would be some arrangements for shuttle service. But there have been no official updates for a long time due to the current situation
Any updates from Apple on shuttles/commuting? Joining soon (remote), but not moving to Seattle till end of Summer. Trying to figure out areas to live.
