Commuter benefits for lyft/uber pool not availabe?

I remember several years ago i can get uber pool or lyft pool and pay wirh commuter benefits. Recently i found not share option on luft/uber app accepting commuter benefits. Web search seems to suggest this could be location specific, my locations are san joee and LA downtown, niether place has carpool option available. Is this just me or this is true for luft/uber’s policy?
