I am starting a new job in Bellevue. It doesn’t offer shuttles. I have a vision issue that makes driving complicated. I am a 25 yr old man and no family. Do you recommend living in Bellevue and walking to work or living in Seattle and commuting by bus? #seattle #bellevue TC: 300k
I am a eastside fan. Why live in seattle
Are there young people in Bellevue?
No idea
Bellvue all the way
Bellevue has some nights life if that’s your concern. But you may end up going out in Seattle too. Not sure how much an Uber would cost these days. For daily living Bellevue is much much nicer
Is it limiting to not have a car there?
I would say east side is pretty car dependent, so Seattle (including U-district, Fremont, Wallingford, Ballard, etc) may work for you better. For the record, I live on the east side myself and won't consider moving back to the west side at all.
Depends on your lifestyle. Do you like to go out in the evenings? If so, stick to Seattle. Bellevue is more for those who like to chill at home on the weekdays or enjoy trails/parks.
Residential parts of Seattle are mellow and full of super nice parks and trails too. Both areas are arguably car dependent; don’t expect NYC walkability. But yeah if you sometimes need a car in Seattle then you’ll definitely need a car in Bellevue
