Salary has grown >50% over a few years. Decent standard yearly refreshers with potentially large stock bonuses based on performance. Recent ESPP purchase gave ~60% returns over 6 month purchase period. Really positive and generally laid back culture - PM me if you want more info.
really depends on when you joined. a lot of ppl left recently due to poor comp but many joined too. I bet new offers are competitive. Box eng quality is going South though. So sad to see many decent devs left. the new comers joined with inflated titles while they declined to promote old people

Hi gtf0. I've been at Box for close to five years now and though there have been times when I wanted more comp, I have to say that so far every time that's been the case, my comp caught up to and beyond my expectations fairly quickly. My total comp in 2016 was 3.5x what I made in 2012 and I fully expect to make 4x that this year. Both the salary and RSU refreshers have been respectable from my perspective. Also, I have to say I totally disagree with the comments above on people leaving and engineering culture: I think it totally depends on the team. In my case, I think only one or two out of twelve people immediately around me left in the last two years and neither was a key player. There was indeed a bit of an exodus right after the IPO when I think 3-4 people all left within a few months of each other, but in my view both the engineering quality and morale improved due to that. As for engineering culture, quite honestly that's the biggest reason I'm staying at Box. Although I probably wouldn't feel that way on most other teams at Box, I absolutely love my project and feel like the company empowers both me personally and my team to do the best job we can on it.
What could be the comp at sr mgr level(right below Director for a non tech role), can it go in 300-350k all up range?
I have an offer from Dropbox that could not come anywhere close to Facebook. Made me sad, I really liked everyone I talked to over there. I would expect box offer to be comparable to Dropbox.
