Comp structure for Citi front office

Considering a move to Citi, trying to understand compensation structure, particularly wrt base salary, cash bonus, deferred cash/stock awards. Move would be to a Director front office position within ICG / Markets. Trying to get handle on ranges for salary and what % of variable bonus is cash, deferred and for how many years deferred. TC 750k, would be targeting TC 1-1.2mm at Citi Thanks in advance

FO director is not very indicative of role. I'm sure director salesperson vs. trader vs. IB banker are different comps

To be more precise, fixed income sales. I'd think any of the above would have the same comp structure though in terms of salary/cash/stock

The Comp structure would be the same (Base, Bonus with cash and stock), but TC could vary greatly. For example, a Director in FO IB (think Banker), would have a higher base (probably in the range of $500K). Depending on how many deals the banker brought in would greatly effect their bonus. TC can easily exceed $1MM+ A Trader on the other hand would most likely have a base in the low $200's, and depending on their P/L for whatever product/sector they are covering/trade would greatly effect their bonus. TC mostly likely in the range of $500K - $750K. Sales, similar comp to a Trader I would think (maybe mid to upper $200's for the base), but different metrics to measure to determine comp (IE. Net New Revenue/Additions etc). TC mostly likely in the range of $500K - $750K.

What is you current base? And what base are you targeting? Good luck in negotiations 👍

I'm not in your line of work but just curious what are your YOE? I'm a new grad software engineer so seeing these huge numbers on blind are pretty crazy to me lol

Isn’t 1-1.2m a little high for S&T D? Comp structure should be the same as any other public investment bank. Base (at your level likely $250k) + YE bonus (with % deferred in stock). Can’t speak to what that % is or the vesting schedule maybe someone else can chime in.
