Companies and expected TC
I have 8 years experience and working as Staff engineer. Looking for a change and it's been a while that I interviewed. Not interested in FANG (two very young kids and spouse travels a LOT) Looking for recommendations for companies with decent WLB and TC. Any thoughts on PayPal? Company is literally a stone's throw away from my home. What level would I qualify for and what can I expect my TC with breakdown. Thanks in advance.
You could come in at msft as a sde2 for 175tc
Total TC today is close to 210...i am assuming 175 is in Seattle...I am in bay area...

LinkedIn. We pay as good as FANG, and WLB is great. With 8 years you’ll probably get in as a Senior SWE which goes up to $275k TC. If you manage to land a Staff offer (I highly recommend you try), you could get your TC up to even $350k.
Can confirm. Except for: TC is much higher than 350k for staff (level 6 of FANG). Senior SWEs can make up to $325k. Pay at FANG is higher.
