Got the standard amazon return offer (~155 TC Seattle, equal to around 170 SF). My team is surprisingly chill so I don’t mind returning. But I value TC and WLB (mostly WLB). Which other places should I be aware of where I could leverage a higher new grad offer and not die of shitty WLB? Current short list: FB Google Apple Stripe Twitter Snap Lyft LinkedIn Pinterest Robin Hood
Salesforce ?
Noted, thanks
You’re too young to think about WLB. Young people should make all the mistakes they can. They’re more costly as you get older.
How are mistakes related to WLB?!
WLB means less work. But it’s precisely learning to fight fire and going into the trenches that you learn what it takes to build good software.
Databricks
Nice
Uber
Meh, not looking too hot in the market right now. Also TC bump wouldn’t be that huge
Atlassian?
TC not likely to bump that much
Evaluate as many opportunities as you can. Especially if you have a deadline on that offer, it won't hurt to try to get interviews at a few or all of those other places. Then you have more options and more information. For what it's worth, I've had a good experience at amzn, including work life balance. Your mileage may vary.

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
I’d probs pick Microsoft over Amazon
I put Microsoft on the same level as amazon, not necessarily higher. And the new grad growth I hear isn’t amazing.
I’d put Microsoft below Amazon, trust me it’s not the play for a new grad.
