I will be jumping ship to Amazon soon, but I don't see myself working in the US for more than a few years as family lives abroad. The big downside to moving overseas is the poor career prospects. Are there any tech companies (regardless of size) that allow employees to work remotely overseas for a 'US based' team? I know quite a few companies allow employees to transfer to a 'overseas' team but have not yet heard of a company that allows working remotely overseas for a 'US based' team. Spotify's Work From Anywhere policy seems to have time zone constraints. Blind tax: $220k #remote #globalmobility #overseas #relocation #transfer Edit: I am on H1B
Once you exit 'US', your comp will be adjusted according to that specific country's band irrelevant of 'US based' team. US based team might help in transfer but comp 🤷♂️
Makes sense. I am okay with a pay cut as long as I can work for/with a US based team.
Look for international remote friendly startups like zapier
Thanks!
There maybe others, but my team in OCI is open to hiring pretty much anywhere in the world. I have team members in India and Europe, and we all report to a US based manager.
Thanks for the info. Does your team have (business) presence in India and Europe by any chance?

Are you on h1b visa?
Yes!
Hmm...am also in same boat. Heard starting an llc and getting paid through that is an option. Need to look into it more.
