I recently got an offer from a series b startup, who tells me that they would file a green card application straight without h1b. I am from a country where green card comes out within 1.5 year after application The current company I am at working only files a green card after h1b. It has been less than 6 months since I started working here. If TCs are the same, and startup work is much more intense than the current company, is this green card filing enough reason to switch? Do you guys know any much bigger companies (Uber Airbnb) who would file green card without h1b?
I know some companies will do GC applications from TN.
Intel
When I was at Intel years ago, they didn’t do it. Maybe their policy has changed now.
How many years ago? Yes, they do now.
Dell EMC
Worst company ever. I have friends crying out that Emc does not file gc until 5th year of h1b.
That's not true at all. Depends on your manager but they can file right away.
Amazon
Microsoft
Can others confirm about Amazon and Microsoft?
Amazon for sure. Both for me and my wife.
Microsoft does and Amazon doesn't help with green card at least for new grads.
Here. They start GC as soon as you join.
