Service now

Following. I’m in SD as well and feel there isn’t much of a tech scene here aside from Qualcomm and Teradata

Amazon has a small office there. Transaction Risk Management Systems teams I believe.

Amazon usernamesa Feb 7, 2020

Intuit, Sony

Google fYCX54 Feb 7, 2020

Google has an office there. I think they have projects involving low-level mobile software and media processing

The office of Google in San Diego is very close to the Qualcomm bldg. The whole purpose to set up this office was to attract Qualcomm employees to work on their “Pixel” team.

Yeah makes sense

Can people from Service Now/Sony/Teradata/Amazon/Googole office share their compensation?

Lyft zimgreen Feb 7, 2020

I had $205k as a senior engineer at ServiceNow. $145 was base.

Qualcomm bright.lit Feb 7, 2020

Whoa! That's way more than what Qualcomm pays. I'm an engineer at Qualcomm and considering just base and RSUs and bonus, TC is $125 YoE 3

Qualcomm napster108 Feb 9, 2020

There is Apple Wireless Team Bldg (after they acquired, Intel Modem Team). Their compensation is way more than what Qualcomm pays.

Teradata SuperTera Feb 9, 2020

200k TC as a solution engineer at Teradata. Extra bonuses this year bumped me up to about 225 TC. 5 YOE.

Western Digital FangBoy1 May 15, 2021

Wow that’s really high. Is this the norm for teradata tc?

Amazon codem0nk3y Feb 15, 2020

Amazon is one certainly one of the highest payers in SD. Same salaries as Seattle, so look it up.

American Express BigAsian Feb 16, 2020

I agree, levels.fyi has Amazon sde1 tc as 160-165k in San Diego. Don't think service now can compete, although Qualcomm on levels.fyi had reports on 110-180k, so who knows

Amazon codem0nk3y Feb 16, 2020

Yeah, SDE 1 industry hire should be ~165k.
