Most of the tech companies I know start GC from day 1. Only those non-tech companies that have GC wait period
Consulting companies also doing it. Make a bargaining or after having offer force them to do it. Check from myvisajobs first
These ducking Indian consulting companies are the reason for gc backlog. A decade back folks bargained into eb1 are now citizens and folks in product companies are fighting to renew visa every three years
