Hello Blinders What is the best way to go for rsu and things like espp and other investments ? Is it getter to sell the shares when we are eligible and invest the money to a safer index funds ? #stocks #investments
Ask yourself two things: If you had that money in cash, would you use it to buy company stock? What is the tax advantage you will get by holding them for some time (for RSUs the difference btw short and long term capital gains)
Speaking from the perspective of a person who joined Apple ~3 years ago, I wish I sold at least half my RSU shares on vest and diversified. The exposure you get from the growth (or loss) of unvested stock is already pretty high, and in my case if I took the invested stock and sold it and diversified into the other stocks and etfs that I bought I’d be up 60% on that money vs being totally flat by holding my vested shares. ESPP shares make a little more sense to hold if you have a substantial gain on vest for them since you get taxed capital gains on the difference

Why do Indians support Israel so much( on blind surprisingly) when Israel really thinks 💩of them ?
I do that after my shares are "long term". I do index funds because I want to be able to sleep at night. If you are a bit of a worrier then this is a good path.
When you say long term, you mean when they move from short term capital gain to long term gains right ?
