Who is acquiring Qualtrics now?
Qualtrics is already not owned by SAP? Are they selling it to someone else?
Yes
I've been thru acquisition before and have had teammates who stayed. Really, it depends on lots of factors. Who's buying you out? How are you getting integrated? How bad are your systems? How much gum and duct tape did you build with? If you're management: brush up your resume. You're probably gone soon. If your hr, project BS, or corporate bureaucracy, shared services (admin, devops): good luck, you need it. ICs and Tech Leads are usually pretty safe, with some caveats. Typically, the purchaser needs you to keep the machine running. Their people can't pick things up immediately, so among the resources they buy up .. is you. If the acquisition is to somewere that needs you to augment their stuff (Think MS buying Blizzard): you're good. At least for a while. Be aware, be alert. Pay attention to upskilling of the company's eng teams / senior people. If the company compliments your stuff or competes, your businesses are close - how much of a train wreck is your data/systems? If it's clean world class stuff: be afraid. If it's a mess, lmao - you're sticking around for a while. Think: Intuit buying FreeTax USA. Sometimes a competitor gets bought out to eliminate them. Keep that in mind. If you're getting raided, GTFO. ( Think, bankruptcy + buyout by some fund like Bain or known investor ) They do shady crap like jack up prices, fleece customers till the company dies, and other nastiness.
Thank you
