Company mentions their plan for growth is mergers and acquisitions. Bad sign?

Interviewed last week with Instructure, which I know has a shit score on blind. They mentioned their previous strategy used to be “build it and they will come” and now it’s just buy out the competition. Mergers and acquisitions. This combined with them being bought out by private equity seems like a sign of volatility. Any thoughts on this or #instructure in general?
