Hello, I need help regarding my H1B visa. (I am currently in USA.) I came to US on L1 visa in 2018. Then i had Change of Status to H1B in 2021. Due to travel restrictions, i did not get a chance to get my passport stamped with H1B visa. So essentially i have changed my status to H1B, but my passport still only has L1 stamp. Now i got an offer from another company and they mentioned that i need to have H1B stamped before they could transfer my H1B visa to their company. My question is, is H1B stamping required for company transfer for my case?
No not at all! I transferred with I797 A approval from previous employer and got new approval for current employer. Still haven't stamped my Visa.
No, stamping isn't required for H1B transfer.
Stamping is not required for H1B to transfer
Not at all ... I personally know many people who have done H1B transfers without getting a stamp
Seriously who's this employer?
That's a weird ask
What makes it weird? That’s what Blind is for.
Thank you for the quick response. I will ask lawyer to double check his understanding of my case.
Stamping is only required to travel into the country. I am not sure why the new company has this mandated.
Must be Google.
You’re likely talking to an HR and not the immigration attorney. If an immigration attorney asked for stamping, that person’s license be taken away. Anyway, you don’t stamping to transfer.

I don’t think stamping is required.
