BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
YOE: 12 TC: 780k Is a joke? Yes Now that we have the important stuff out of the way, onto the fun because it's performance/holiday season and I'm procrastinating. Facebook - Harvard. Fitting that Zucc went here. Everybody still wants to go here, it has the name brand, prestige, and controversy. And yet, isn't the actual best institution (more on that later). Amazon - Princeton. Also fitting that Bezos went here. Full of overachieving masochists who play by the rules of command and control. Apple - Dartmouth. Comes off as more earthy/crunchy/bohemian than the others but it's just as much part of the technocratic elitist cabal as the rest of them. Netflix - Columbia. The school is in NYC, which, like Netflix, is a magical place that people cannot shut up about how much they love it and how cool they are because they're from there. It can either make you or break you. Google - Stanford (or MIT). Sergey/Larry went here and it has the actual highest prestige and talent of the people suited to read a list like this without actually *being* a member of the club...cause they're kind of in a league of their own. Microsoft - Yale. Same out-of-touch vibes as FB/Harvard without the prestige or esteemed brand even though it's basically the same. Uber - UPenn. Sounds like a public school and is wildly successful in spite of itself. Lyft - Cornell. The actual public school Ivy and red-headed stepchild of the family. Airbnb - Brown. Founders went to RISD which is down the hill from Brown. *Technically* counts as being in the same league as the others but let's not kid ourselves. Definitely stealing those avant-garde vibes from Apple/Dartmouth.
Just make more money I didn’t read what you wrote btw
you win
I <3 u
What are you doing
procrastinating
Which company are you making 780k at with 12 YOE OP?

Cornell and Amazon?
TL;DR
illuminati
Let me guess OP - you went to neither the Ivy League nor FAANG. Unless you are at Meta/Harvard since you mention performance review season.
i went to 3 of the 19 places named above. AMA
A=airbnb?? I thought it was adobe
guess the whole list is ruined and i'll have to start all over again. but also nope: https://www.teamblind.com/post/FAANGMULA-U5XyuHiw https://jargonism.com/words/1253
