Hello Blind - here are the final numbers after negotiations. Need help!! JPMC (Hybrid - MCOL): Title: Cloud Architect - VP Base: 170 K Bonus: 30 K TC: 200 K As far as I know, chase pays an 80-100% of promised bonus(30K) amount every year. OCI (Remote - MCOL): Title: IC-4 Principal Solution Architect (Pre Sales) Base: 176K Bonus: 75K (Per manager, 50- 60% guaranteed) 3K RSU (X ~ 70 stock price) over 4 years: 210K = ~ 50 K per year 20K sign-on bonus TC 1st year: 320 K, and then 300 K Given the current market and likely recession, I think JPMC is better and more stable but OCI TC is very good compared to my current TC :) (even with a 50% bonus). Thoughts? Thank you Current TC : 160 K ( Remote & MCOL ) YOE: 17 #tech #salarycomparison #offers #microsoft #google #meta #faang #salarynegotiation #salary #recession #techcareer #facebook
Isn't OCI cash rich as well and contrary to JP Morgan, is gonna be least impacted by recession? Also Oracle Cloud is a long term goal they're looking.
Yes, but JPMC is cash rich too and perform well during the recession times. I agree, oracle cloud is a long term goal but they have a long way to go. I don't think they have big enterprises customers. I assume mostly MSB and SMB. Based on my research they have 2% market share in cloud computing.
Banks are ruthless when it comes to layoffs. I do not work for oracle now.
Chase absolutely does not pay 80-100% bonuses. You’ll be lucky to get 20%
Not True. Depends on lob, technology you work on etc. I have been making 60-70% bonus for last 5 years.
Agree with liogap—esp in 2020 when bonuses were cut. With recession loomkng this will happen again.
Withiut doubt go to OCI. too much attrition and chaos at JP.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
OP, By OCI do you mean Oracle ? Also let us know what lob gives 80-100% bonus kindly!!
80%-100% bonus? 😂😂😂 someone really wanted you to join
Lol. I was told by the recruiter. 80-100% of promised bonus amount.
Why this is even a question. JPMC is a mess , I moved to a tech company recently and oh boy I feel JPMC is atleast 6-7 yrs behind. Everything is sub-par there salary, talent , tech stack.. You work at JPMC for few years in tech you will have hard time finding a job outside banking.. So make your decision accordingly.
I mean i was there my first 8 years of my career, whilst a mistake it was fucking easy getting interviews and then some job offers from faang to start ups. So don’t agree with your comment. Defos don’t recommend the company though
You must be very smart. My comment was for general employees. How many jpmc employees you see moving to faang or start ups.. I don’t see many in my LOB atleast. It requires effort.
I am surprised "stay at current place" got equal votes as JPMC. Curious to know the reasonsing whoever voted for that option.
Dude save yourself and take oci. Oci has a big brand name too. Thank me later. PS-jp has become almost a service company now
OCI? What’s that
Oracle cloud division
With out second thought take oci, You will regret if you pick jpmc.
I second this as fellow jpmc employee
