Does Compass try to compete with FANG or tech company unicorns on compensation?

Why do u say so? They are uniquely positioned to build tech for the Realtors and thus sitting on a huge opportunity I think
Definitely yes. TC is higher than most tier2 companies in Bay Area.

That's total Bs from a guy who is drinking compass cool aid. The comp is screwed up and definitely no where close to what you get in Bay area.
I recently went thru the process with them since I was really keen in joining a RE Tech company, and was pretty transparent about my expectations. But their offer is not even worth considering, total waste of time.
I had a similar experience. Was very transparent about expectations and was still lowballed by about 20%. Seems like a cluster, anyway.
Agreed , Compass is a joke
Compass comp isn't as high as FANG. Based on our company blind's compensation polls and our offer accept rates, it definitely doesn't seem like the company is trying to compete with the top of the market.
All the people I’ve seen come from FAANG were burned out already
