What are typical Big Tech compensation downward adjustments when moving from silicon valley to less expensive tech hubs outside of california such as seattle, austin, denver, research triangle, etc? 20% or more? Family of 4 looking for an affordablr COL...
Also depends on your current TC. There are folks who end up getting a literal raise.
Also depends on who requested the relo, you or your company. If the company wants to relo you for a new opportunity, you should keep your TC or even get a raise. If you ask to relo, prepare for market rates in your new locale.
If you work at FB or G you're in luck. Pay scale is same across US. Anyone else yeah I would expect to see 20-25% difference. Depends on a lot of factors.
