Recruiter called this morning stating that they are interested in moving forward with an offer and asked about the numbers twice. I didn't tell any number so that I don't tell something lower than what Bosch might offer. So, what I need to know is what's the market rates for Software Engineer - Motion Planning with 2 years of experience in the field. From what I read on Blind and other platforms, new grads make around 200k TC. I was low-balled at my current company with a TC of 120k.
What technologies go into Motion Planning?
It also depends upon the place as well.
It's the Bay Area
Then try to get better tc
Probably between 180-250ish depending on level of IC
IC2 most likely, but maybe IC3 They're still figuring that out apparently
The company matters. It’ll be more than Bosch.
Did not get you. You mean, Cruise pays more than Bosch? I'm interviewing with Cruise. I hope I clear the interviews. Any tips are welcome on preparation
I’m certain Cruise pays more than Bosch, though you’ll get private RSU’s not liquid. I’m not in motion planning so can’t help you specifically there sorry.
OP, what’s your experience background? I’m going to grad school to enter SLAM role after
