I saw a Googler ( Male ) hit a lady multiple times in the cafe, should I report?
Have been working in amazon Canada for last 1 year, and now applying for a move to Seattle (same team). Canadian pay scales are anyway low and I feel I didn't negotiate well or get a fair deal when I joined Amazon and relocated to Canada. How is the salary determined during the transfer process? What should be a range I should expect? Do I have room to negotiate?
IIRC, current % compa ratio becomes your compa ratio in the new pay range. Keep in mind, Comp considers cost of labor not cost of living so you may not see a significant change. Negotiations do happen but your manager will tell you what the offer components are and then you tell the manager if you want to negotiate. The manager can then present your request to Transfers for consideration and Comp approval. Also, Transfers doesn’t pay attention to your years of experience - that’s something your manager would have to bring up to advocate for a higher amount. Transfers is only applying the process based on the position you’re being offered - your manager is who would use # years experience to determine right level, job, etc.
What actually happens after negotiation? Will manager create a new ticket to adjust TC? OR Push the offer TC for reassessment to transfers team?
Thanks. What is the expected range for L6 Sr TPM in Seattle? How can I know my compa ratio ? Are managers expected to disclose it?
I’m also interested in knowing my compa ratio, anyway of knowing that?
You can try asking your manager. Some managers tell if you’re inside or outside the range and some tell the actual ratio itself
They do a percentile match. Usually little to no room to negotiate

L6 TPM in Seattle here.. TC @258k
Typically they pay based on the region. So if you move to EU you will get around 30% less compares to the US.
