Completed Google onsite, recruiter asked me about desired salary/TC before hiring committee. Is this normal?
The recruiter wanted to gather additional info like desired salary, TC, previous promotions, etc before sending to the hiring committee. I haven't heard this happen often to others before, is this normal? Could this be a bad or good sign? TC: 130K YOE: 3
You don’t have to provide your current salary. In fact, it is quite illegal to ask in some states

They will lowball you anyway So give them an impossible number
Just to make sure they can afford you !! It should have been done during your initial call with the recruiter. But never too late
