You have come a long way and this is the day you see the light at the end of the tunnel Sorry for people who joined late but instacart offers at that time were extremely high so I hope you still come out good. For early joiners, congrats on your lambos and new homes
Very few millionaires today except for useless executives who turned a $39B company into $10B.
When did you join, what valuation did you receive grant at and how much is it worth now?
Lock up? Nobody will be a millionaire once the IPO frenzy cools off and the company will be at 1B valuation :)
Im not sure which is worse, the fact Ive seen this exact same post 3 times within the last week posted by "different" people, or that you think that everyone at instacart is a millionaire
Why not both?
It's sarcastic, has to be
If I see one more sarcastic IC millionaires post I’m gonna jump out a window
Is this a suicide note?
My window is ground level
Everytime see posts like this I know people like OP , even when they gonna be rich , they will always be LO$ER$ 🤡
How long until they're able to sell? We'll see where the price is then
Usually blackout window after ipo is like 6 months
Would it be worth buying some 7-8 month expiry put options?
Aren’t they locked and unable to sell 6-12months after IPO? If so, good luck keeping that valuation.
that correct. enough time for the early investors to dump there shares
Bingo! This is the real purpose of locking shares. Founders and investors need time to sell or decide what to do. Just another way to screw over your employees imo.
"Roses are red, violets are blue, in an IPO... it's only the founders who make any money"
Hey, that did not rhyme... 😐
"Roses are red, violets are blue, I am a millionaire I wish that was true”
Is Instacart profitable yet?
lol a profitable tech business
Instacart is one of the few profitable tech companies. It’s net income last year was almost 500mil
Watch Ashwath Damodaran’s video on Instacart valuation. Says it’s at fair value!
No one who joined instacart in the last two years made any money on the IPO. Whats more they are roughly seeing 20_50% cut in their stock grant values. Also instacart offers were like meta offers. Not too high i suppose.
real money > paper money regardless
Congratulating people who just lost a lot of money(even if from paper to real) is not very empathetic.
