I've got an offer at Workday on the Spark engine team. Looking for some feedback on what the team is like. Is the engineering work high quality? Is there a lot bureaucracy in meetings and process? Anybody on this team and HAPPY or NOT? Thanks! #workday * TC=380k (15% pay cut from AMZN fwiw) * yoe=20y
never even thought about it... 20-ish (adding to post). not concerned about the offer but whether this is a team in which satisfaction can be found
is the work engaging? are colleagues engaging? I don't want to work in a culture that gets nothing done because they're too caught up in process or documenting every single task that was completed. I don't want to work on a team that doesn't know what they're doing and makes a big deal out of small incremental improvements. I want to work in a culture that's collaborative. That works together on designing and building things that matter to the business. I want to work on a skilled team. Where people have the technical background to propose significant improvements. Where people make non-trivial contributions to projects.
