Considering moving out of Verizon
Current Position: Verizon Data Engineer II TC 96k Experience : 2 years Considering: Intellibridge : Government contract with SOCOM, FBI Senior Data Engineer Security Clearance TC 120k Sign-on 10k The issue is my manager at Verizon is really bad and the projects I’m working on right now are super boring and not contributing in anyway to my data engineering career that I want to work towards. So I’m considering moving to somewhere atleast where they give me a good salary too with cool projects. Any feedback is highly appreciated thank you
If manager is bad, a good company may not help much. What are you waiting for?
I guess I was just trying to get a perspective from someone in terms of job security when moving from a bigger company to a smaller consulting company. Just wanted to get some opinions if that might be a good idea regardless
Verizon provides decent severance if there's a layoff. Also has good stability. But consulting company can let you go without paying anything. Verizon HR is good provided you are served by Central HR and by a FTE HR.
