I am interested in the field of consulting. I want to get into the big 3 firms - BCG, McKinsey & Company, and Bain & Company. Would love to connect with professionals and would greatly appreciate any tips or advice. #consulting #finance #bcg #mckinsey #bain
Easier to move to a company that does LS industry consulting. LEK, EY-P are the upper-tier firms that focus on LS. Accenture is all over LS and they’d probably hire you in a heartbeat, but it’s shit work and shit pay.
So you want to come up with strategies to lay people off all day.
Use fishbowl for that conversation instead of blind, as there are many more consultants there. In short, your top paths are either a top MBA program, directly applying while leveraging your life sciences background, or going to a mid-tier firm and shifting to a top 3 firm after getting some consulting experience.
Shifting to MBB is hard unless you start well with Big4 strategic arm. MBB is very selective so having impressive track record and some niche market knowledge can help.
