I'm definitely being underpaid as a Sr. Consultant at Deloitte. I am looking to change. Got an offer from a smaller consulting firm for Consultant role with base pay $140k and annual performance bonus ~8% (the firm apparently does not do joining bonuses). Tried negotiating the offer but had given a low expectation range during the first recruiter call, not giving me much room for negotiation, saying they'll give a considerable raise during upcoming reviews. Should I take it ? What else should I ask /confirm? YoE: 4 years Loc: NY TC: 110k #consulting
Currently in the same situation. What’s the location for 140k offer? How long have you worked with Deloitte?
This is a great offer for 4 YOE in Consulting
4 years in consulting after grad school. Worked for 1.5 years before grad
Is the offer with a promotion in title? Also what’s the difference between your current salary and the offered salary? You could potentially use this opportunity to get into a hire a better paying position in consulting one of the big four or FAANG?
No promotion in title. Updated current TC. If looking for FAANG, wouldn't this offer be lower than the avg salary FAANG offers? Can def consider looking at other consulting firms
Take it! 😁
Take the offer and move out.
@kpmg What roles are you suggesting in Faang? Non-swe?
So without knowing your area of experience I can’t recommend a particular role but depending on your skill set an experience you can target roles that potentially would work for you. This company reached out to recruit you so there’s something that is attracting them to you. You can leverage your experience and expertise to attract other recruiters be at FAANG or any other big4.
