Can I bypass recruiter and contact Hiring Manager directly for getting update on status of my interviews?

If you haven't already done one follow up, phrase it in the way of thanking them for the opportunity, that you enjoyed it (blah blah), and then ask about anything else you should do as well as a status on the req

I have done follow-ups calls with recruiter he gave me vague updates and i mailed HM but no response.. so thinking of calling HM

Hmm, my take on directly calling the HM is 50/50 in my mind. I would do that sort of thing if I knew them. You were definitely correct in emailing tho. How long since the interview?
