Contract offer @ Cisco
Ok so it’s not technically Cisco, Cisco is the client. Agency offered me $85/hr on W2 for a full stack role. It’s weirdly titled Business Development Manager IV. Given this is 85/hr that’s roughly $163k/yr (85*1920) is that super low for what Cisco would pay for this role in contract? Trying to figure out how much the agency is taking off the top. #cisco #contractor

Is it for software engineer role? Is it remote? If it is remote then it is ok i guess

There's no way I'd take this. Cisco is slashing budgets like crazy, and contractors are the first to go. We cut like 15 in my group just last week. Plus Indian/Eastern Europe contractors are much cheaper, so you'd be first on the list.

don’t forget…… no benefits as a contractor (insurance, days off, etc)
Yeh and no retirement matching. Seems like a rough deal on w2… Hard to find direct corp to corp contracts as that’s really what I want
