A few years ago I was placed on a bullsh!t PIP at Tesla which I recovered from (take off pip early due to it being clear there was never a performance issue to begin with) before resigning soon after for another offer. I interviewed at SpaceX a few months back and the interviews all went really well but then I was ghosted. I then interviewed for a different SpaceX role and the same thing happened. Wondering if they share recruiting programs that would show I had a PIP at Tesla and maybe that’s why I was ghosted twice? Anyone know if this is a practice between Elon companies?
I dont think so . The internal communications within Tesla itself is weak when it comes to recruitment , so forget about across companies .
What was the bullshit pip reason
It’s a pretty long story, but basically made my manager look bad to sr leadership by escalating an error he made and he wanted to get rid of me by convincing hr to pip me saying I had general performance issues. I fought it hard and he didn’t count on me having documentation proving all his allegations false as well as saved texts showing him to be a liar. End of the day, employee relations got involved, he was moved to a different area, I got released from the pip with stellar feedback from hr and his career has been stagnate to this day. I’ve since passed his job level and would be his manager if I were still at Tesla.
There is virtually no communication between the 2 companies in HR stuff.
