Cracking Engineering Manager interviews
Have been passively interviewing since 12 months. Been through onsite rounds for Meta M1, Google L6, Stripe and have been rejected in the very first round at other small or midsize companies. Looking for forums or groups that discuss on EM role and interview prep. YOE 14 Management YOE 2 years TC 480k
2 yoe as a manager is way low. Get more experience
Isn’t 2 to 3 yoe normal for m1 or L6? At least that’s what the JD mentions and companies are okay to proceed interviewing me.

Yes. In fact EM range is pretty broad at eBay. Depends on the org and team(s) one manages

What’s your prep looks like?
Systems designs - standard ones. Honestly, I don’t think systems design have been a problem as feedback has been positive. Also. I could be wrong but complexity of the interview hasn’t been as high as IC equivalent at the same lev. I was previously a snr IC. Management/ behavioral - looking for suggestions on how to prepare as feedback on non tech rounds are very broad. For instance missing signals etc
What about meta tech screen? Behavioral and design? Sys design or product design?

Only meta has coding round. It was straight from leetcode easy and medium level
