Lol
Ya people are spoiled af
He’s finally right. Take advantage when we can, folks
Idk maybe employees would like to afford to live near where they work? Wild guess though
Lol so tech salaries doesn’t allow them to afford it?
In the Bay Area? I’m gonna go with no - yeah for sure more senior people can but those of us who started in the last few years probably can’t afford a home. Just saw a 3bd in Sunnyvale get sold for a million OVER asking price on a house that’s older than my parents
get rid of woke culture problem solved
Employees are also sick of CEOs pocketing millions each year while refusing to spread the salary to everyone else. Although I do think woke activism needs to end
Examples of this woke activism please
Examples include overpaid DEI clowns and execs, ERGs based on immutable characteristics, donating millions to BLM, sanitizing "non-inclusive language", pronouns galore, considering immutable characteristics when hiring. The list goes on and on.
Has anyone felt a culture shift towards many people hating tech workers (outside of SF) now that many people have been wandering into MCOL/LCOL areas working remote
you mean before or after the google bus got its windows shot out?
Tech workers are like a plague. Everyone hates them for various reasons. If the public read most of the shit posted on here they’d probably rival politicians and journalists for most hated profession
Given how much tech ceos are paid, this seems hypocritical
So companies can layoff when they want but not the other way. Sounds about right
One of the only things that Cramer has been right about
Many of these companies are making massive profits, so clearly the tech workers they’re employing are creating more revenue than they cost to pay… One might argue tech workers are underpaid given the amount of profit they generate for these companies. Perhaps he’s speaking to something else than compensation.
