After seeing these, I am not even interested to order on Uber Eats anymore. Add a tip to it and your order fee almost goes up 2x! 🤦♂️ And the poor UberOne comes in and says “you saved $1 on this order”. What a joke.
It's the convenience. Once in a while is OK. I just order on phone and go pick it up.
Wait until you see the price the restaurant charged you on the app and then walk in and see it listed for 20% less on their menu in-restaurant.
Some restaurants (at least near me) don't markup menu prices on uber
True, but most people who use these apps would be absolutely shocked to find out how common this practice is.
Delivery is provided as a service . You should figure out (as with all services ) on whether using the service is positive roi for you
It’s just makes an individual lazy. People were eating and getting food in the past too. This services makes sense for a group order but not an individual order
For some people like myself with chronic health issues, it’s not about being lazy. Sometimes food / grocery delivery is the only way I can get food.
Lol who uses Uber Eats anymore?
Need to stack buy one get one free and promotion coupons
Stop being poor
1 chipotle burrito with chicken comes out to $23 delivered vs 9.90 picked up.
Eating my chipotle as I read this
$23 is worth 2 burritos at a hole in the wall place in SJ.
I thought you all have 900k TC? Is a $2 tip all you can afford on the $17 discount you received?
See @new all others are working in tech companies and calculating the expenses. You don’t have a job and u are thinking about tipping.
Rich people didn’t get rich by giving money away to everyone with their hand out
Just call restaurants and pick up. These apps are going crazy.

I stopped using all these food delivery apps. I would just call the restaurant and pickup my order.
Then you have to calculate the value of your time working as your own delivery person. Could be ok if you live right next to the restaurant.
I usually bundle food pick with other chores/work I'm already doing outside. So it's not much out of my way to pick up.
