Just take a look at this image, I am flabbergasted at the rate. $52/hr for San Jose? Contract role for Cisco, why? #Cisco #Contract #WTF #HourlyRate #Shameless
Cause Cisco is cheap? 😂
Yeah true but this is a contract role!
Because Cisco doesn’t pay well
Yeah kinda but then this is a contract role. Not shitting on Cisco here.
52 is what they pay you. The contracting company makes 3x
Yes, fully aware of this exploitation. I've been on such shitty contract roles for a few years.
3x is an overstatement… usually. But in this case it’s probably close, I would say they’re billing $80-120/hr
Works well as a second job. I’m overemployed.
We’ve probably ran into each other on /r/overemployed lol. I’m in my first week, making $1000/day liquid cash is nice.
You can’t because it’s on-site 3 days a week
Contractors typically are supposed to get higher hourly vs hourly equivalent of a FTE because they don't get other perks. This is a very junior role or severely underpaid, and you have to go in 3x a week.
No this is a contract house exploiting desperate people
Dude that's 9152$ a month for 40 hrs a week... what are you looking for?
They're asking for principal level skills for lab tech rates is the issue. Been going on for years.
It's $108,000 annually which is low for C2C that iusually pays more due to lack of benefits and lower job stability. I am a FinTech writer with a liberal arts degree and my hourly wage is slightly more than that. As companies continue to lay off there will be more of these postings.
It’s w2 without benefits basically, so it’s worst of both worlds, no tax write offs and no benefits.
