The only “good” cards I have right now are the Amex Gold and Amazon Prime card and I want to build out a good setup so that I can balance getting good travel/lifestyle benefits and some cash back/statement credit if I want. I had a few ideas for setups and curious what everyone thought or if they had different suggestions 1. Upgrade gold card to plat, get Amex blue cash preferred and stop there or get a chase freedom for whatever bcp doesn’t cover (I know plat is expensive but I have equinox, use Uber, have NYT/Peacock/Audible) 2. Get chase sapphire preferred or reserve and a freedom (pairing with Amex gold) 3. Get the capital one venture X (pairing with Amex gold, I know this setup gets the least cash back) What does everyone think? Any changes to them or other set up suggestions?
Chase sapphire reserve + Freedom UL + Freedom Flex. The best combo ever with the least fees. I’ve yet to pay for an India trip.
how do you maximize airline points?
Chase is more generous than Amex. Chase uses the card to attract affluent customers and make money on other products. Amex makes money just on the card so they don’t subsidize it
Venture X has a killer deal right now. I have the x, gold and prime cards
As a combo, Chase Reserve + Freedom Unlimited + Flex is the best. I also have the Amex Platinum as well.
I have amex platinum, chase Sapphire reserve, and amex blue cash preferred for groceries and gas.
