Applied back in April for a Sr Eng position. All things went good until I completed the interviews. Recruiter takes almost a week to respond (if I get a reply that is) and despite getting a positive feedback, I was rejected & ghosted for follow ups. The job remains available for 2 weeks which begs the question of whether they are actually looking to hire? The job was created AT LEAST 2.5 months ago.
Recorded Future is a BIG competitor for the threat intelligence space. On par with Mandiant. I would say its a decent amount cyber focused, but a lot of their intel is around the geo-political spectrum. Ex: Russia attacking Ukraine. Great folks, and I know a few CSers who were let go went there as Technical Advisors.
Yup, they are small but most folks are ex 3 letter agency or military intel. At all the big cyber intel conferences they usually have people presenting. They have a lot of respect from the cyber community. Would love to work there down the road, but need to beef up on my CTI skills a bit more.
Sorry to hear about the shitty experience. CS recruiting process needs work as far as communications go, but at the same time, recruiters definitely seem overloaded. Hope it doesn’t permanently deter you. Fwiw, I got no response on 8 apps and got hired after the 9th with a referral.
Congrats. Yeah I am hoping I get in one day but it is just weird that I got rejected even after a positive interview feedback. Is cooldown 6 months at CRWD?
Likely just a more qualified (not “better”) candidate or internal hire that took your spot. As far as cooldown, i think 90 days is the sweet spot for the same role after a couple tries. You might consider making a new post and asking that question specifically.
Recruiters across the tech have been overloaded right now. Haven’t had a bad experience with Crowdstrike but I can understand the frustration. Btw, how do u know it’s positive feedback but still got rejected? Is it possible they may have found someone who May have performed better in the loop?
I asked and got a response a week later from the recruiter that the interview feedback was positive. It is certainly possible, but the job still remains active to this day after 2 weeks I got my rejection so I think no one got picked.
Sorry that happened to u. It’s also possible they forgot to close the req or kept it open for a 2nd candidate. Too many possibilities. I shall pass along the feedback.
Yea not sure abt UI teams and their tech. Their backend tech is solid. Tbh haven’t felt this passionate working on a product in the recent years. If anyones interested in that and have relevant experience, feel free to DM me. We do have openings for good engineers.
how long did it take you to get a verbal offer?
1 week after final interview
They're a shitty company
Care to elaborate why?
Can anyone refer me at crowdstrike for a position I found? Thanks
Feel free to DM
