The fact that youve made it to the offer stage and the recruiter hasnt gone over comp range or you never asked in the very first screening (to not waste your time if it doesnt meet expectations) is laughable
Senior 1 is L4. I'm guessing it will be in the ballpark of $300k. Please check levels.fyi's _recent_ numbers. These are lower than what they used to be

Why are you considering Cruise for L4 offer at 6 YOE? Definitely not worth it! There are lots of kids at L6 with 3 YOE inside Cruise, and the promotion process is totally unfair. Stay away or regret it later
Itās not unfair to be honest, at least as far as I see. The people who are getting promoted are worth the promotion. They deserve I think. L6 with 3 YOE exists but I guess they are just very competent or at least they know how to please their managersā¦
My BATNA is not ideal. I was down-leveled during the process, same as some other people Iāve talked to. Cruise seems to be into doing that rn
Why L4 with 6YOE? Push for L5
Ask for L6, and probably okay to settle for L5. T

Yes on cash bonus, cut by 50% below L7. And Sort of for RSU. They always did geo based salary pay. Now theyāre doing geo based RSU packages as well. So if you donāt live in SF you can almost expect to see a 15% lower RSU package plus the annual cash bonus cut in half
