Best way to apply at Microsoft
Edited: never meant to sound “God-like” so refined text to make it sound more like a post from earthlings. :-) Currently in IC role - L65 (pre-sales, in C-suite advisory role supporting customers). Couple of decades of experience in managing large tech portfolios. At present, I partner with large v-teams of senior level resources to deliver successful outcomes to various digital transformation initiatives (cloud, Data & AI, ML, Cognitive Services, IoT/IoMT/IIoT, Mixed Reality, low-code/no-code and a whole spectrum of other technology solutions) - these undertakings are done in partnership with customer organizations and MSFT partners. Why seeking change? * Seeking VP/CTO/CDO level role in non-FAANG, or a level-up role in FAANG * Overall, happy with current company and culture, but last reorg/reshuffle was done with a 30,000 feet view that disturbed a lot of things at the ground level (totally understand that these sort of disruptions happen in reorgs). * Previous experience managing large teams of senior level members in complex org structures, with P&L responsibilities. * I am an innovator at heart, and a “make it happen” kind of personality. At times, I feel like I will be able to deliver much better impact in a leadership role than in my current advisory role. TC: 400K+ PS: This is my first post on the Blind - please be-kind if you have suggestions on a better way of seeking such referrals. Thank you!
Why are you only L65? Your description is written as if you are god himself. Something doesn’t seem right.
Never meant to sound “God-like” so refined my post a bit to make it sound more like a post from earthlings :-). BTW, You will find plenty of my peers in MSFT ATUs at L65 who have had serious management level experience in the outside world.

Is L65 equal or a level lower to VP level at non faang companies?
Most recruiting teams are well aware that L65 - L67 at MSFT are CTO / Principal level roles (especially in sales, but also in product groups). Does it translate into a VP/C-suite role in non-FAANG companies? That depends on many factors - at this stage in one’s career, it’s not just about titles or TC anymore but more about how one wants to spend remaining 10/15 or so years of their professional life.
What’s your title? Like CSA or SSP?
