I've been using the Samsung 34" curved monitor for a while and love it. I've wished it were larger at times and sadly there's nothing in the intermediate range with 49" being the next size. Some brands offer intermediate sizes but they're much more expensive than the Samsung 49". 1) Is that too large for doing dev work? 2) Do you find it distracting having email, slack etc all open since there's space for everything on this massive screen? Could that be potentially counterproductive? TC 300K #wfh #tech
Wont there be an lag?

Using samsung galaxy 49". I like it. 3 browsers at once. Any price is worth it if its something u use 8hr a day
I have the 35inch Curved. Not big enough. Wish I had gotten then 49inch G9.
What happened to 38" + 27" vertical?
Size always mattersā¦no matter what she tells you!
Using the 49inch G9. Works like charm for both work and play. For the former, I partitioned into three sections and itās really comfy.
Pretty sure Iāll get migraine staring at such a wide screen. Also, FWIW Samsung panels arenāt that great unless itās an LED. Rather go with LG IPS panels. Solid color reproduction and clarity.
49ā ultra wide is painful for neck, distracting if you are going to keep 4 things open. instead get 43ā dell 4k.(~$800) not too wide and can still have 4 windows open in 4 corners
I have the Dell 43ā 4K and itās okay. I can only use about 70% of the screen real estate because the edges are too far for my eyes to comfortably glance at. Iām probably sitting too close to it. During WFH, Iāve been using a 38ā curved and I now prefer it.
I never used ultra wide ones, but I think the dell one helped me a lot maybe it is due to going 4K from standard hd
Why not go straight to 420"? Get that cinematic experience!
