I’ve been in the big med device world for about 10 years. I’m talking #abbott #stjudemedical #medtronic #bostonscientific etc. I’ve gained meaningful experiences in the classics like: design, manufacturing, validation and verification, program management, etc. I’m curious where a guy like me would go to next. Any suggestions? My thing is that you end up working a lot of hours for not enough money in these companies, but in return you’re flexible to try out different things. Now that I have the experience, where would be exciting to go to?
what role?
Can always go to pharma. Pharma always needs a few device people around for combo devices etc
How's the pay and work life balance for such role in pharma?? I entered med device from consumer products for work life balance. However, the work became unbearable in the last few years while the TC stays low.
Tc in big pharma is good generally. Depends what you do exactly obviously. Same for wlb - I'd say mine is good.

Perhaps you can go to into semiconductors or even consumer devices at FAANG like companies. Even better, teams that work on health and bio related applications, think Apple Watch, Oculus, etc.
