Facebook hired political operatives to drag Tik Tok with the press and politicians. Dirty pool or fair game?
sauce?
Lol doesn’t matter. We can do our worst and even a CCP owned company will look like angels compared to us. That’s how far Zuck has fked our perception with the public.
What about Metaverse? Nothing much happening there ?
Oh you poor child - do you think Tik Tok is playing fair and by the rules? Do you know how much more data they collect?
lol
In reality no one cares about how much soft porn you watch on tt
Fair game. Its press just because the name is Meta.
Enterprise and politics are too interwoven these days, which is unfortunate. But you see energy companies leverage policymakers to snub competition all the time. I think it’s weak but desperate times call for desperate measures I suppose. Meta’s doing some soul-searching, grasping for straws to regain their edge as MAUs decline, TT is an easy target 🎯
As an advertiser I am quite sure TT is overstating all of its metrics. Views and likes are inflated and unauditable, reach on ads is fake... So theres is some truth to this. If we're holding Meta (an american company) to a certain degree of scrutiny, why aren't we holding chinese Tiktok?
On the contrary, if anything, we do ourselves disfavors aplenty when it comes to self-attribution versus other platforms/publishers, I can assure you of that and I would have no issue saying otherwise if we were juicing results. It’s *because* we’re a Chinese company and under constant scrutiny, more than the article would imply, we don’t mess around with any funny business— especially after almost getting banned back in 2020, we tread lightly and relying heavily on MMPs, for example
FB is banned in China, but we allow Tiktok here...fair game
Yeah, and Canadian citizens were taken hostages in China while Chinese citizens continue to enjoy their TC in US...fair game
how's that even comparable? also chinese citizens struggle to get GC more than anyone
