How long do you hear back from OpenAI after interview? Had my phone interview last Wed, pinged the recruiter on Fri, never heard back. Is this a silent rejection? #openai
Did you solve all the questions?
I thought so, but now I'm not too sure :(
whats the first round like?
How to get them to call you for interview?
I applied online
The company, for the most part, was PTO last week. They were moving to their new office. They usually get back to interviewees within a week.
how did you know this?
Did you hear back from them?
They usually take a week to respond. You must have heard by now but if not, give a ping to the recruiter. How was your interview experience? I had the initial 2 rounds with them where I found the system design was standard but the coding question was generic and not language friendly. I felt I did well considering the language I choose to do it. Was able to write the classes/helpers and get the first version to work with additional follow up to work but seems it bit me eventually as I got the reject. Though they don't give any feedback but I believe that it might be the reason as in the prep mail they said "they tend to prefer modern Python" and going with another oops language I had to write lot of code to implement the logic. So PSA for future candidates, if you can, prefer to use python if possible for openAI coding round. If someone got another experience please feel free to share.
Thank you so much for the information! My recruiter told me that they are still waiting for the team's response 4 days after my screening interview. I've been quite anxious these days.
noob: just move on
